This special trailer was pulled from a local Northern California camp ground where, at one point, it had a new, house-type roof installed, (it doesn't fit and should be removed,...but, that's partly what kept the interior in such good shape for all these years). In fact, there's only minor water staining below a few windows here and there, which is a pretty easy fix. Otherwise, the newer linoleum and carpet, which was laid down over the original linoleum, needs to be removed, a few ceiling panels that were changed out for a couple of, what looks like to be Mahogany pieces, need to be replaced with birch, the non-original, white laminate on the kitchen back splash could be replaced with reproduction, gray Cracked Ice laminate to match the existing counter tops, a vintage fridge could be located and reinstalled where the louvered doors are now and a vintage style sink could be swapped out for that "lovely" non-original, Corinth model in the bathroom. Everything else....the lights, the stove, the plumbing, the propane lines....are all in good working order. However, to bring her home with you I would suggest a set of new tires and for a longer trip, getting the wheel bearings checked.
This coach is a genuine museum piece and she would be lots of fun to live or work in or even a great place to store all of your "Lucy" collectibles. Better yet, put her in the back yard by the pool and, during summer, invite all your crazy friends over for Long, Long Trailer parties. Then again, you could tow her around to vintage trailer rallies with a pale yellow, '53 Mercury convertible ....just like Lacy and Nikki. How cool would that be?
