This makes the fourth Roadmaster I've found, and the second nicest so far....besides the 1952, thrity-five footer in the Birchwood Beauties
Collection....and especially, in relation to the condition of the interior, i.e., there's hardly a water stain in sight, let alone anydamage...
however, it's also not completely original. In fact, the first thing you may notice is that this trailer has been re-wired...which, is a good thing and
even looks like it was a professional job. Unfortunately though, everything was also installed on the outside of the birch paneling. Obviously, this isn't real attractive, however, it could be covered up with custom made coverings, so as to make it much less noticable. Some other parts of this coach have been redone as well, including the kitchen and bathroom countertops and splash panels, however the way it was done allows for period looking laminate and aluminum edge trim to be re-installed pretty easily, if that was preferred. A real wood Parque style floor has also been installed, however it doesn't look like a profess-
ional job and, in fact some of it is buckling up in the living room and would need to be reglued, and possibly re-cut to fit better as well. New, birch paneling coulld also be easily installed over the dark paint-grade plywood walls of the bathroom, finished to match the rest of the interior, and the curved, curb-side closet across from the kitchen counter.... which has been "creatively re-cut" to apparently house a t.v.....could also be re-skinned with newly finished birch.
This coach was pulled out of an old resort up near Clear Lake, which is being converted to a modern B&B, and was used regularly...and, as you can
tell, was also kept up....until this spring when the owners decided to let it go. Even though the original fridge is gone and would need to be replaced, every-
thing else works just fine, meaning that, other than having a few cosmetic issues, including a rectangular hole cut into the street side living room wall to
house a window style a/c unit, a very long bumper, which was added to house a storage box, (but which isn't original), a minor amount of heavy
oxidation along the lower edge of the skin on both sides and possibly a new paint job, this vintage coach is ready to use now.
