Steve Boyce had wanted to buy the very first trailer I'd sold.....a little pink & white, 1953 Viking 17' canned ham with a beautiful, original interior and in really great shape.....but, someone else beat him to it. So, when I told him about this Transa-Traveler, with a very similar interior, he drove all the way up to my shop from Southern California to look it over, bought it and then commissioned me to restore it as well. Now, Steve is one patient guy, because, initially, I had intended to restore this trailer myself, to use it as my guinea pig, so to speak, as I persued the restoration learning curve. Now......Steve was going to get to "share that experience" with me. One of the reasons that Steve liked the KT is because it had a very good, original interior, with lots of beautiful curved wood in the cabinets and ceiling cupboards, similar to the "high-end" interior in the pink Viking, and it was in very good condition, overall, with only minor damage from water leaks.
