1957 SPARTAN IMPERIAL MANSION 45 ft.

In 1957 the Spartan Aircraft Co. continued on with their "Jet Trim" styling, which had been introduced in 1955 on the Imperial Mansions, and which showed up on all Spartans in 1956. But, by now it had evolved to something much simpler....fluted siding running below the belt line the entire length of the coach on both sides, punctuated by a recessed panel above the belt-line at the rear, which wrapped around both sides of the coach, similar to the '56, but wiith dramatcally angulared brackets, instead of the softer brackets of the '56.

Besides the hole in the front where the a/c unit is and the denting on the panel to the left of it...which are actually pretty simple, straight forward repairs without any compound curves...this rest of this coach has very nice skin. The floor is solid, the electrical and plumbing are in good shape, it has a newer stove and fridge and other than the Plexiglas in the two, front, wrap-around windows, most of the other windows are still in good shape, so it's actually liveable. Or, it could also be a cool back yard club house, or something similar, i.e., this particular model has two bedrooms, one in the middle, and one in the rear. However, to make this coach shine, the interior wood really needs to be refinished., Here is another big Spartan that could really be a cool, Mid-Century Modern showpiece when it's finished and sitting on your property....especially polished up to a deep mirror shine, plus some painted wheels and chrome baby moon hubcaps.
